Dunning Junior Rodeo

We made it home from New Mexico right around midnight on July 3rd.   With one kid wanting to go to the Dunning rodeo on the 4th and one dragging her feet insisting we needed to stay home.  Of course after 17 rodeos in 12 days, what is one more.   Especially when it is only 10 miles away.  We drug ourselves out of bed the next morning.  Not quite as early as we usually do on the 4th, but we did arrive slightly before 9 am.   Both kids were having a decent day.  Ty had entered the 15-18 age division so he could calf rope.  He got his calf down so he was happy.  The rest of the day was just messing around for him running barrels, poles, and flags.   After all was said and done he had tied with another boy for all around, point wise and money wise.  Chantelle had a mediocre day going too.  She caught her calf, ran her pole horse in the barrels which he hadn't run in a year, and had good pole and flag runs.  Surprise was on her when the day was done and she too won a buckle.
First ever double buckle day for the Milleson kids!   Boy we were sure glad we got out of bed and went!

Whoops, I forgot, and had to come edit this post, Shaylee DID participate also.  They had a penny shower that she took part in.  She had fun with her friends Mattee and Cazen gathering up some money, so we all came home winners!
